SCHMUCK 2020 – SPECIAL JEWELLERY EXHIBITION
11th-15th March 2020
“Schmuck 2020“ is a special jewellery show during the 72nd International Trade Fair Munich (IHM) Handwerk & Design, Messe Munchen in hall B1 / 772.
Due to the current health situation, we have to inform you today that the Munich International Crafts Fair and therefore the special “Schmuck 2020” show cannot take place in Munich.
The GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH as organizer has to cancel the international craft fair with Handwerk & Design and the Munich garden for the year 2020. The reason for the cancellation is the spread of the Coronavirus / Covid-19 and the associated, urgent recommendation by the crisis team of the Bavarian State Government to cancel or postpone major international trade fairs until further notice. This also applies to the international craft fair, which will only take place again in 2021.
SCHMUCK IS WHERE COLLECTORS, GALLERY OWNERS, MUSEUM CURATORS AND JEWELLERY LOVERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD GET TOGETHER AS PART OF INTERNATIONALE HANDWERKSMESSE (IHM).
802 goldsmiths and jewellery designers from 61 countries applied to take part this year, with unique pieces finally being chosen that were crafted by 63 artists from 29 countries. Three of these artists will be presented with the much- coveted Herbert Hofmann Prize at the event. All this makes SCHMUCK one of the leading exhibitions in the field – with an impact that spreads throughout the whole of Munich: over the decades, numerous other events have become established in connection with SCHMUCK and are still going strong to this day. Here you will find full details of SCHMUCK as well as the other special shows at IHM 2020. Enjoy!
PS: Did you know? From 30.04 to 30.05.2020, SCHMUCK will be travelling to Spain, where it will be presented at the Museum Centre del C arme in Valencia.
